What do you photograph?
I work across hospitality, lifestyle, architecture, interiors, food, beverage, products and portraiture. Most of my projects combine several of these disciplines, creating a cohesive body of imagery rather than a collection of individual photographs.
Do you also shoot video?
Yes. I offer both photography and motion, either independently or as part of the same production. Increasingly, brands require both stills and video, and I enjoy creating visual assets that work seamlessly across multiple platforms.
Where are you based?
I’m based in Cape Town, South Africa, and regularly work throughout the country and internationally.
Who do you typically work with?
I work with brands, creative agencies, hospitality groups, wineries, architects, designers and marketing teams looking for thoughtful, commercially effective imagery. Many of my clients are long-term partners who value consistency and craftsmanship.
What’s your approach to a project?
Every project starts with understanding the brief. Before picking up a camera, I want to understand what the brand is trying to communicate, who the audience is and what success looks like.
From there, I work closely with clients and creative teams to create imagery that feels authentic, purposeful and commercially effective.
How would you describe your style?
My work is carefully observed, with a strong sensitivity to light, atmosphere and place. I’m particularly interested in the moments where light becomes part of the subject itself, creating images that feel natural, considered and timeless.
Can you help with creative direction?
Absolutely.
I’m comfortable collaborating from the earliest stages of a project, helping shape concepts, shot lists and visual direction. Whether working alongside an agency or directly with a client, I enjoy contributing creatively while remaining focused on the objectives of the brief.
Do you work with agencies?
Yes. I enjoy collaborating with creative agencies, art directors, designers and production teams, adapting to different workflows while bringing a calm and collaborative approach on set.
Do you travel for assignments?
Yes. Travel forms a regular part of my work, both within South Africa and internationally.
What makes a successful shoot?
Preparation.
The strongest work comes from clear communication, a well-defined brief and allowing enough time to create thoughtful imagery. I believe great photography is a collaborative process built on trust, curiosity and attention to detail.
