La Motte — In Every Sense. Creating a visual language for the senses.

[ September 12, 2026 ]

Most wine communication relies on explanation.

Tasting notes. Flavour profiles. Technical detail.

But people don’t connect with information. They connect with feeling.

For La Motte, the challenge became clear: how do we move beyond describing the wine and start expressing it?

We developed a simple framework. Each varietal was translated into its own sensory language through colour, texture, sound and atmosphere.

The result was a series of 30-second films, each built to be experienced rather than explained.

“Chardonnay, in every sense.”
“Cabernet Sauvignon, in every sense.”

“Dit verkoop meer as La Motte, dit verkoop wyn as ’n kategorie. Maar op ’n globally competitive en super creative manier, wat geen ander wyn produserende land of brand al volgens my kon doen nie. Dis testament vir die waarde wat julle ontsluit vir brands.”

The challenge was creating a visual system that could hold the whole campaign together, while still allowing every wine to have its own personality.

That meant thinking less about literal tasting notes and more about the feeling behind them — how light moves, how texture behaves, how colour shifts the mood, and how sound can change the way an image lands.

It was a relatively small shift in approach, but it changed the way the wines could be perceived.

A good reminder that clarity doesn’t always come from saying more.

Sometimes it comes from saying less, with more intention.
